Terms of service.

Metro-Cebu Car Rental (MCCR) provides short-term and long-term vehicle rental services across Metro Cebu and surrounding areas. Rentals may be self-drive or chauffeur-driven at the customer’s choice.

Bookings are confirmed once we acknowledge your request via Messenger and any required deposit is received. All vehicles are subject to availability. We reserve the right to offer an equivalent substitute if the exact vehicle becomes unavailable.

Self-drive renters must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license (local or international). A government-issued ID is required. Additional verification may be requested at our discretion.

All prices are quoted and charged in Philippine pesos (PHP). To hold a vehicle we collect a reservation fee of 50% of your quoted total, capped at ₱5,000. The remaining balance is settled with us in person on the day of your rental.

The reservation fee is taken on a secure checkout page hosted by PayMongo, our licensed payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. The payment methods available to you are the ones currently active on our PayMongo account and are shown on that checkout page.

PayMongo charges a processing fee for the method you choose, and that fee is added on top of the reservation fee at checkout rather than absorbed into it. The exact amount depends on the method and is displayed before you confirm. That fee is not rental credit, so it does not reduce your remaining balance.

Your quote is an estimate. Delivery, chauffeur service, extra days, fuel and damage charges can move the final total up or down, and we confirm the final figure with you before the balance is collected.

Reservation fees are non-refundable if you cancel. No-shows are charged the full first day rate. If you need to change a confirmed booking, contact us as early as possible and we will advise what is possible for your dates.

Return the vehicle at the agreed time, place and fuel level. Late returns, missing fuel and damage found at handover are charged as set out in our Return and Refund Policy.

Vehicles are delivered with a full fuel tank and must be returned with a full tank. Refueling fees plus a service charge apply if not returned full. Unlimited mileage within Cebu island; inter-island travel requires prior approval.

Rentals are provided without insurance coverage from us. The renter is fully liable for any loss, theft, or damage to the vehicle during the rental period, as well as for damages arising from negligence, unauthorized use, or violations of Philippine traffic laws. Renters are strongly encouraged to arrange their own insurance prior to the rental.

Rental vehicles may not be used for: racing or stunts, transport of illegal substances, commercial ride-sharing without our written consent, or by any driver not listed on the rental agreement.

If something goes wrong, raise it with us first — we can almost always settle it faster than any third party can. Our Dispute Resolution Policy sets out how to reach us, how long we take to respond, what to do about a charge you do not recognise, and where to escalate if we cannot agree.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through the process in our Dispute Resolution Policy shall be brought before the courts of Cebu City.
